Ilustrations
Ceramics
The ceramic series Cultivating the Soul explores the individuality of the flower as a metaphor for human personality. Each object embodies a unique character, preserving traces of its journey—cracks, textures, and subtle variations in form become a visible chronicle of development. The project centers on the idea of choice and personal experience as forces that precede and shape the moment of blossoming.
Through the materiality of ceramics, I explore processes of inner transformation—how a combination of experiences, emotions, and decisions forms the foundation for a peak state of flowering. Unlike human inner life, where these processes often remain hidden, the ceramic objects make the history of development visible and tangible.
The works were presented at the exhibition “Hanging the Earth on Nothing” at BIS ART Gallery, Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art, 2023.

“Natural Magic” — Ceramics

Natural Magic is a series of ceramic objects executed in monochromatic shades of white and black, where form becomes the primary expressive element. By reducing color to a minimum, the works emphasize silhouette, surface, and material presence, allowing quiet transformation and inner tension to emerge through structure alone.

Artist statement
My art is a two-part practice, intertwining fantastical depictions of nature with an exploration of the everyday, and a search for connections between the human inner state and natural processes.
I engage with natural imagery as symbols of growth, inner potential, strength, resilience, and freedom. In my work, I explore mindfulness as a way of thinking—the ability to remain within the moment without rushing it, and to listen attentively to sensations. Printmaking techniques and ceramics allow me to work through repetition, structure, and tactility, capturing processes of metamorphosis.
My work in painting and mixed media explores complexity and the overlapping of different contexts and materials. By distorting, transforming, and reimagining objects, I move away from familiar reality in order to see it anew, returning attention to simple yet essential things.
